Community
We promote a strong sense of personal and social responsibility in pupils; our children learn to appreciate the advantages they have. As such, Mayville pupils are encouraged to contribute to the wider community through active involvement and fundraising with both local and national charities.
What's on?
Throughout the year, our calendar features a number of events, performances and concerts that the Mayville family and wider community are invited to share with us.
Cockleshell Community Sports Club
Our sporting facilities at Cockleshell are available for private hire. The 23 acre site is located in Eastney and boasts five football pitches, one rugby pitch, cricket pitches and nets, along with a Multi-use Games Area (MuGA) for hockey, netball, basketball and tennis.
Facilities to hire
School facilities are available to hire in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays. We have a range of purpose-built spaces, including our main hall, the recently-opened Senior block and a range of classrooms.
Community action
Mayville life is characterised by its caring community spirit; every child is nurtured and supported in their endeavours. During their time at School, our pupils also learn to meet the challenges of the wider world and develop a sense of global citizenship, empowering them to be the responsible leaders of the future.
Mayville PTA
The principal aims of the PTA are to raise funds for the school and to provide a welcoming environment for parents. The PTA is an enjoyable, relaxed group that meets each term and we are always looking for new members to join us.
