Learning differences
Mayville offers pupils many different opportunities to develop their talents and strengths, while providing a nurturing and supportive environment, both in the classroom and through bespoke additional support. Our renowned Special Educational Needs Department and well-established Able, Gifted and Talented Programme ensures that no child is left behind.
Excellent pastoral care
At Mayville, we believe that pupils learn best when they have self-esteem, self-confidence and self-knowledge and we are dedicated to producing pupils who will leave us as talented, confident and empathetic members of our community.
Able, gifted & talented
Our Able, Gifted and Talented pupils have the potential to become the leaders, thinkers and creators of the future and we value and nurture them accordingly, ensuring that each child's unique talents are extended and developed throughout their time at Mayville.
Special educational needs
We take a holistic view that not all pupils learn at the same rate or in the same way and through our expertise, we are able to provide tailored learning for pupils. Children's self esteem is also central to our support; equipping them with life-skills, coping strategies and confidence as well as curriculum achievement.
Supporting children & families
Communication between teachers, pupils and families is at the heart of our excellent pastoral care and special educational needs provision. Parental involvement in the school is encouraged and we are always on hand for general information or to discuss specific concerns relating to your child.
Mental health
It is our firm belief that it is the happy child who will learn and the one with self-respect who will approach academic studies positively. That’s why we place such a huge emphasis on wellbeing at our school.
